About Us, Megan Owner and operator.
have always had a love for animals. My family has owned and operated a
horse boarding facility for 17 years and my love for horses has
gone through the roof. I had never had the opportunity to own my own
horse. When my family bought the boarding place I was so excited. I was
able to ride and help take care of some of the horses on the property
while feeding and watering. I was in my own world. Shortly after buying
the property I had graduated from Columbine High School. I was having
a great deal of difficulty continuing with my education due to the high
school shooting. I was in my senior year and in the school at the
time. Being able to work in a place with such peace and being around
the one thing I enjoyed the most, the animals were my escape. I was
able to finally get my first horse Chinook and it was the start of
many. I was given my first dog April after I graduated. She is my
best friend and a big piece of my heart. She has helped me with my
healing in so many way. After her we rescued a lab puppy named Buddy I
am sad to say he developed bone cancer and is no longer with us. We
also rescued a Min Pin named Bork. Shortly after that I got married to
my high school sweet heart Jerry. Then the fun just keeps on going. Jerry
bought his first horse. I bred my first horse and rescued another mare
and her foal. While I was a vet tech we brought a goat named Rascal. We have grown as a family an decided to move to Franktown.
we have 4dogs, 3cats, 5horses,20 Chickens and a bunny. I am also the proud momma of 4 beautiful children. All my kids were born at home. I couldn't have asked for a life more blessed. My husband and I will be celebrating 17years of marriage the summer of 2018.
I opened Oasis Mobile Pet Spa in 2004 with the goal to meet the needs
of pets. I worked as a veterinary tech on large and small
animals for several years before becoming a groomer. I started bathing
dogs for a wonderful groomer that had been in the business for 25
years. She was a inspiration and a book of knowledge for me. I then
began my grooming training. After working in a shop for a couple
months I realized that there was a need for grooming dogs in there
homes. A good friend of mine asked me to groom her dog at her house
because he was diabetic and had seizures. After a sore back and a messy
bathroom I decided to bring the salon to her. My father and I gutted a
camping trailer and built a grooming salon. I was in heaven. Not only
did I have my own space to bring to the pet but I also could have a
personal relationship with my client and their owner. Over the years we have added another grooming unit and wonderful groomers. We grew and grew. Unfortunately in the winter of 2015 my trailer was totaled. It was devastating. I had a hard decision to get a new trailer or build a shop. I decided as a busy mother of 4 young kids that i wanted to be home more, We decided to bucked a shop in the lower level of my home. It has been a dream come true.
Our company is based on the belief that our customers needs are of the
utmost importance. As the owner and only groomer, I am committed
to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business
is from repeat customers and referrals. We are here for your animals needs. We are able to keep costs reasonable by depending on word of
mouth and standing appointments.
We have started a new adventure. Unfortunately we are no longer mobile, but opening up a new salon, we are striving to keep your pets as comfortable as possible. This is a big change but a really good one.
